π¬ Sketch Academy: Upcoming workshops!
Hi Reader,
βοΈ Sketchnoting 101 Workshop
|
This course is BIG.Did you know that on average, only 5-13% of people finish an online course? I can offer this course in multiple ways, but my number one desire is for you to FINISH the material! I don't want to offer it in a format you're unlikely to finish. If you can take this short survey, your input will greatly help me understand what format you need to learn and complete this material best. β

What I've Been Up To
High School WorkshopsI recently taught 3 workshops at a local high school. We talked about using sketchnoting skills to create visual one-page summaries for science class unit summaries. Look how great they did! π€© |
Daily DrawingOn the right is a screenshot of my habit tracker, where, each day, I check off things that help me be a healthy, happy, and whole individual. If you notice the column 2nd from the right, it's mostly empty. OUCH. That column represents "Creativity for Fun." As someone who gets paid to draw for a living, exercising my creativity for fun can be a challenge. I've been experimenting with activities, mediums, and times of day, and have finally settled into a routine that feels fun and easy for me. Each day, I leave a small sketchbook open next to me. As the day progresses, I'll take short breaks to draw what's happening: what I'm working on, things happening outside, what I'm eating, etc. I feel like most days are pretty mundane and "boring," but I'm challenged to make the "boring" stuff interesting. I'm trying to focus on play more than perfect outcome. β Check out my results below! πππ I'll be posting these on Instagram if you're interested in keeping up. |
